Growing up on a culinary herb farm in Fall City, Washington, I have been painting and designing since I was a child. My studio rests on a high riverbank over looking the rushing water of the Snoqualmie River. Cedar, hemlock, and maple trees frame the view of this beautiful refuge. In this sanctuary of natural beauty, I observe the powerful rhythms of nature, intriguing landscapes and the subtle dynamics of natural light. I also hunt for the beauty in the non-traditional-- the contrast between nature and industry.  As these two entities leave their massive imprint everywhere. Through this study of the environment, I translate my personal encounters into artwork that explores the relationship between medium and visual experience.
